Trying Director’s View Feature on Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, Video Becomes More Epic | Droidcops

Samsung smartphones are not only of high quality, but also always come with new innovations that their competitors don’t have. Included in their latest flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

Previously, Samsung introduced a new feature called Director’s View.

The Director’s View feature itself is related to the camera, especially video recording. Where this feature will be combined with a high-quality camera system on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G which carries a Quad-Camera (Ultra Wide, Wide, and Dual Tele-Lens).

The configuration consists of a 12MP Ultra Wide camera, 108 MP Wide-angle, 10 MP Dual Tele-Lens and is equipped with a Space Zoom feature of up to 100X.

Well, the presence of the Director’s View feature will provide a new, more enjoyable experience for Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G users.

However, as a completely new innovation, many may still be asking what Director’s View is and how to use this feature.

For more details, let’s see the review below.

What is Director’s View?

Testing the Director's View Feature on the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5GIn short, this feature allows Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G users to determine which lens is used to record video while providing a view from every available shooting angle.

In a sense, we can switch lenses, between Tele, Wide, or Ultra Wide lenses with just one recording. This will result in a more interesting and memorable video.

In addition, there is also a Vlogger Mode that allows us to record using the rear and front cameras simultaneously. That means we can use all the cameras on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series when using Director’s View.

This is possible thanks to the support for the performance of the Exynos 2100 which is 30% faster and 10% more energy efficient than the previous generation Exynos.

This allows the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G to run an Image Signal Processor (ISP) which is capable of processing videos taken by four lenses at the same time, namely three lenses on the back and one lens on the front.

Testing the Director's View Feature on the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5GThe first impression of using the Director’s View feature on the Galaxy S21 Ultra is very easy. Just open the camera app and go to the ‘More’ menu. You will also see other shooting modes, look for Director’s View or Director’s View (if using Indonesian).

We can also access it quickly without having to enter the ‘More’ menu by creating a shortcut that brings up the Director’s View feature directly at the top of the shutter.

The trick is to simply touch and hold the Director’s View feature and then swipe down on the main tab. So we don’t need to access the More tab first to use this feature.

When activated, the Live Thumbnail will appear on the screen which brings up the view of the three rear lenses on the right and the Vlogger Mode view (which we will explain later) on the left.

The interface is simple and easy to understand. At the top is a telephoto lens that is used for close-up views.

In the middle of the wide lens for wide frames and the bottom is an ultra wide lens for a much wider view of the frame. Its use is also easy, choose which lens is the best, then choose it with one touch.

Switching between lenses is also just a tap. Very interesting, because we can produce various angles with just one recording process.

Compare when trying to record a video without the Director’s View feature, first recording using a telephoto camera for close up angles, then turning off recording to switch the camera to take a wide angle.

Then turn off the recording again to switch angle to wide, this becomes inefficient. We are also satisfied with the results of video recording using the Director’s View feature.

Besides being easier, you also don’t have to bother editing videos. Because with the Director’s View feature on the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, we can visualize what kind of scenes and scenery can be captured and the results can be seen immediately.

At least we can direct and make epic videos with more pro results. Oh yes, Director’s View also has an additional feature called Vlogger View.

This feature allows us to record video with the front and rear cameras simultaneously. This means that all Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G cameras can be used when Vlogger View is enabled.

The fun thing is that we can adjust the appearance of the face, it can be half the screen or in a small size that appears on the main display. The trick is simply to select the square box at the top right of the screen and select the view you want.

We think this is quite interesting, because we can make complete videos by showing our own facial expressions. But the important thing to remember, this process will record two cameras into one file, so the resulting video is not in separate files.

Long Lasting Battery

galaxy s21 ultraVideo processing activities carried out by each lens simultaneously certainly require large computing activities which will have an impact on draining battery power.

But there’s no need to worry, because Samsung has optimized the use of the Director’s View feature so that video capture results are maximized without drastically draining the device’s battery.

Where Samsung designed Live Thumbnails to be hidden from the screen when not in use for a certain time. To access it again simply by tapping the phone screen.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is equipped with a large battery capacity, which is 5,000mAh. Even if it runs out, we can recharge the battery quickly because it is equipped with 25W Fast charging technology and supports 15W wireless charging.

So, ready to make videos with the Director’s View feature on the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G?
